I grew up in a beautiful small town in N.C. The kind of town where you'd find your best friend after school fishing on his family farm.Tree lined streets & backporches were plentiful. And rocking chairs absolutely mandatory. Your grandfather taught you to swear and all about baseball.
For me, James Taylor & Chet Atkins were the pinnacle of the arena I wanted to enter. There were many of afternoons spent listening to JT's Mudslide Slim & The Blue Horizon. Nancy Griffith put me to sleep most nights on the stereo.
I enjoy writing songs about the people close to me and the experiences we enjoy, or endure, together.
I believe a good song can take you home within the first line of the verse. Every time. On time.
