Firehouse Donuts
Firefighter Kevin Carney started helping out at local Chester County Fire Department events. Kevin has been a firefighter for over 35 years and found his passion and love for donuts when he volunteered to make them as a fun and delicious treat for the courageous firefighters after a long day of work, “Well, someone had to make the donuts for the firemen and cops,” says Kevin. After five years of making his addictive donuts, Kevin started to get offers to sell them in stores. One thing led to another, and Firehouse Donuts was established in 2014.
Kevin’s donuts are also available at the Swarthmore Co-op, ACME, and even the Devon Horse Show. And, of course, farmers markets, including the Swarthmore Farmers Market! The flavors are cinnamon, powdered sugar, and, of course plain. Kevin makes donuts everyday, turning out 45 dozen batches an hour. That’s a lot of donuts!
Pick up a package of delicious Firehouse Donuts or get one to munch on as you stroll the market.
